Why Art

Most brain development occurs before children reach age five, and stronger language skills, motor coordination, and social-emotional abilities are seen in kids who regularly participate in art. Creative experiences during these formative years helps children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for learning and self-expression.

With this in mind, our exhibits and programs are thoughtfully designed to support children and caregivers from the very beginning of their artistic journey. At the Children’s Museum of Sound & Color, we are committed to partnering with caregivers and educators to nurture young minds, helping each child grow into their brightest, most creative self.
